14 killed in road accidents in Pakistan

Fourteen people, including two children, were killed and many others injured in two separate road accidents in Pakistan today.

Eight persons, including two children, were killed instantly at Chaman in southwestern Balochistan province when a bus collided with another vehicle.

The bodies were taken to a hospital in Pishin city.

The vehicle was coming from Quetta to Chaman when the collision occurred.

In the second accident, six persons were killed and many others injured in Attock city of Punjab province.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

Pakistan has one of the world's worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
