A 14-year-old boy allegedly faked his kidnapping to implicate three men who had stopped him from misbehaving with some girls, police said.

The boy was traced today, said SP City Yogesh Singh.

On October 14, the father of the boy, a resident of Sector 22 here, lodged an FIR with the Sector 24 police station that his son had been kidnapped, said Singh.

The boy is a student of Class 8 of a school in Chaura Raghunathpur village.

During investigation, the boy was found active on a social networking site, claiming that he had been kidnapped by three men and kept at a house in Chaura Raghunathpur village, Singh said.

A police team then traced him through electronic surveillance, he said.

The boy disclosed that he had named the three men to implicate them as they had once stopped him from misbehaving with some girls.
