14-year old's body found from barrage

The body of a 14-year-old boy was recovered today from Mohammadgunj Barrage, 36 hours after he went missing, police said.

The victim, Abhisekh Pandey, a student of Tenth standard, went missing after he had gone to Singra village with friends to see the surge in rain-fed Koel river on Monday, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Arun Kumar Ekka said.

The Palamau and adjoining Garwah administration deployed divers to trace the body, which was found from Mohammadgunj Barrage, about 80 kms from Medininagar, he said.

The body has been handed over to the family.
