140 foreign nationals lodged in jails in J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said as many as 140 foreign nationals, including militants, are lodged in different jails in the state.

"As on February 22, 2014, 140 foreign nationals are lodged in different jails in Jammu and Kashmir," Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in a written reply to a question in the Legislative Assembly.

He said no person of Jammu and Kashmir involved in any criminal case in the state is incarcerated outside the state.
