Minister of State for Personnel V Narayanasamy said in a written reply that CBI has so far received reply from the United Kingdom in two cases.

He said as on July 31, 2012, as many as 995 cases including 905 regular cases and 90 preliminary enquiry are under CBI investigation.

He said during 2011 and 2012 CBI has registered 1670 cases including 1374 regular cases and 296 preliminary enquiries.

The Minister said out of 1670 cases registered by CBI in 2011-12, 752 cases have been disposed of and 918 cases were under investigation.

In a separate reply, he said the government has cleared appointment of 43 special prosecutors, law officers for 71 newly created special courts, 75 posts in Technical ranks.

 

He said all the central police organisations and state governments have been requested to send nomination of officers for deputation in CBI.
