As many as 15 migrant child labourers were rescued today from a bakery on Railway Road here, police said.
District Child Protection Officer Megha Singla and City Magistrate Minakshi Dahiya raided a bakery today at Ambala City and rescued 15 migrant child labourers, Deputy Commissioner Saket Kumar said here.
The local bakery was raided by district officials after they received a tip-off that over 10 child labourers had been working in it, located close to Railway Road at Ambala City, he said.

During the raid, 15 children were rescued from there, he said, adding that most of the rescued children belonged to Uttar Pardesh and Bihar.
The rescued children were taken to government office where their statements were being recorded. Police were trying to trace and contact their families, the Deputy Commissioner added.
