15 pc seats to be reserved for Asha-Sahyoginis in ANM training

Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister R S Rathor today said that 15 per cent seats in ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) training courses would be reserved for 'Asha-Sahyoginis' who work in villages for women and children's medical care.

An 'Asha Welfare Fund' would be set up for 'Asha-Sahyogini', besides giving 15 per cent reservation in ANM training course, the minsiter said at a function at Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidhyaly here.

Asha-Sahyogni women are grassroots-level workers in state's health and medical activities, hence required immediate attention so that they could take a better training in ANM courses, he said.

The minister also felicitated 254 'Asha-Sahyogini, five block health supervisors, five PHC health supervisors, five Zila Asha Coordinator, and five district zonal officers.
