16 killed in road accident in Pakistan occupied Kashmir

At least 16 people were killed and 38 others injured when an over-speeding passenger bus fell into a 200-meter deep gorge in Pakistan occupied Kashmir today.

The vehicle was going from Mirpur to Samahni in Bhimer district when its driver lost control while negotiating a sharp turn, Radio Pakistan reported.

The dead bodies have been shifted to a government hospital in Mirpur.

The death toll may rise as condition of some of the victims is described as critical.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan and most of them are due to bad road and untrained drivers.
