16 trains upgraded, two passenger trains rescheduled

The numbers of 16 Mail/Express trains, including the Chennai-Mangalore West Coast Express, will be changed from coming July in view of their upgradation.

A Southern Railway press release in Kozhikode today said the trains will be operated as Superfast Express and the change will come into effect from July 2014.

Another railway release in Kochi said that timings of two passenger trains were reschedluled as some maintenance works were taken between Ochira and Kayankulam stations.

While Train No.56300, Kollam-Alappuzha Passenger leaving Kollam at 03.25 hrs will be rescheduled to start at 04.20 hrs from May 16-20, Train No.56392, Kollam-Ernakulam Passenger via Kottayam leaving Kollam at 04.20 hrs will have a delayed start by 10 minutes on these days.
 

However on May 19, trains will start as usual as there will be no work, the release said.
