A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint by her neighbour at Ganrao village in Shamli district, police said today.
According to FIR lodged by the victim's mother, the incident took place yesterday when the girl was alone in her house and the accused, identified as Baiser, entered the premises, they said.
He then raped the girl at gunpoint and threatened her with dire consequences, they added.
The accused is absconding while the girl has been sent for medical examination, police said, the adding investigation is underway.
