A 16-year old girl was allegedly stabbed to death by a youth in North 24 Parganas district tonight, police sources said.
The girl, a student of class XI, was returning home after attending private tuition when the youth intercepted her at Shyamnagar Anjangarh and attacked her with a knife, the sources said.
The girl was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, sources said.

The local people caught hold of the youth who stabbed the girl to death and thrashed him severely.
The youth who was identified as Sishir Ghosh (20) has been admitted to hospital in a serious condition, the sources added.
