166 MH at Satwari cantonment, the largest hospital in the plains of J&K, has recorded the highest number of baby deliveries, till date 2,286 in Armed Forces Medical Hospitals in India, the Commandant of the Military hospital, Brig M M Harjai said.
Rashmi Hooda, Convener of Family Welfare Organisation (FWO), White Knight Corps, distributed sweets and gifts to children admitted in the paediatric ward on the occasion of Christmas.
On interacting with mothers of sick babies Hooda informed them about the benefits of breast feeding, uninterrupted vaccination and scheduled follow up.
Hooda also interacted with the hospital staff, appreciated their professionalism and encouraged them to strive to achieve higher standards in service of quality patients care.
The 166-MH has also reported successful special cases like operating on baby with extremely low birth weight of 904 grams, smallest premature baby (27 weeks) managed in neonatal intensive care and discharged and reconstruction of food pipe in the youngest baby.
