A total 1698 gelatin sticks were recovered from a village in Bihar's Rohtas district today, police said.
Acting on a tip off, a police team seized the gelatin sticks packed in four bags from a bush in Vasa village, Mufassil station house officer Sanjay Verma said.
A probe is on to find out how the explosives reached the village and for what purpose, he said adding the gelatin sticks may have been hidden by Maoists or by those involved in illegal quarrying.
