Three Chinese nationals, including a woman, were arrested with some 17 kg of gold at Nepal-Tibet border today.
The three Chinese nationals were arrested while they were trying to cross the border in Tatopani area, 100 km east of Kathmandu, with the gold during a security check, police said.
The arrested woman is married to a Nepalese man, while two others are husband and wife, according to the Central Police News Room.

They were hiding 17 pieces of gold weighing approximately 17 kg around their stomach. The cost of the seized gold amounts to Nepalese rupees 100 million.
A further investigation is underway, said District Police Office, Sindhupalchok.
