At least 17 people were killed and 57 others injured in three separate road accidents today which also involved vehicles of security officials in upper Egypt governorates.
Seven people were killed in a car crash in Minya governorate while 13 others were injured, according to Osama Metwali, the head of Minya Security Directorate.
In another incident, that took place in the upper Egyptian governorate of Sohag, four civilians were killed on a crash between a private car and lorry which belonged to the security forces.

24 conscript were injured in the crash, a security official said.
Meanwhile, another security forces vehicle crashed today in Qena governorate killing six persons and injured 20, another security official said.
