They have been slapped with show cause notices asking them to reply within 15 days as to why disciplinary action should not be initiated for failure to meet the target for disbursal of assistance for housing under the IAY, Rural Development Minister Nitish Mishra said.
He said the DDCs and BDOs had earlier been given strict instruction to meet full target under the IAY so that funds under the central scheme could be fully utilised.
