18 candidates have been caught for allegedly producing fake documents at an Army recruitment rally in the district headquarters here taking the toll of such candidates to 60.

"We have today sent the list of eighteen candidates, of whose documents, domicile and character certificate appeared to be doubtful and forged", Director of the Kota Army recruitment office Colonel Kamal Uprati said.

The forged certificates were submitted by the candidates yesterday during the army recruitment rally which began here on November 27, he said.

The certificates were bearing the same stamp from Kota as of the 42 candidates who were caught for submitting fake documents on Saturday, he added.

The 18 nabbed candidates had cleared the preliminary tests on Saturday and were supposed to appear for medical test yesterday but they did not turn up for the exam thus raising doubts among the army officials, Uprati said.

The list of the eighteen candidates has been sent to the district police with a complain to lodge an FIR against them, he said, adding that the police is likely to lodge a case against them by today evening.

However, Station House Officer (SHO), city Kotwali Tarun Kant Somani said that they have not received any list or complaint from the army officials so far.
