Eighteen labourers were injured, three of them seriously, Wednesday when the mini truck they were travelling in overturned on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Chandvad taluka of Nashik district in Maharashtra, police said.
The incident occurred around 10:30 am near Vadali Bhoi village, around 50 km from here, apparently after the driver of the mini truck lost his control on the wheel, a police official said.
The labourers, hailing from Malegaon taluka in Nashik district, were headed towards Hinganvedhavillage for sugarcane-cutting works, he said.
While 15 of the injured were admitted in Chandvad government hospital, the seriously injured have been shifted to civil hospital in Nashik, he added.
