Police are clueless of the whereabouts of a toddler who went missing yesterday while playing with other children near his house in Kapura village here.

A search has been launched and services of dog squad taken up, but it has not yielded any results in the finding of 18-month-old Balraj Singh.

Satnam Singh, father of Balraj Singh, returned from Bahrain recently after working there as a labourer there for 30 months.

Although police suspect that the boy might have been kidnapped for ransom, the parents have so far not received any call.

Apart from Balraj, Satnam has a 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son.

Police also suspect that the child might have been picked up by dogs and apes, which are present in the area, but there was no proof of such action.
