Eighteen tourists from Kerala were injured when their van fell into a 15-feet deep pit on a ghat road to famous hill resort town of Kodaikanal near here today.
The tourists hailing from Velliankottai in Kerala were on their way to Kodaikanal when the mishap occurred when the driver of the van lost control while negotiating the 7th bend at Kombaikadu, police said.
The injured had been admitted to the government hospital here.
Dindigul District Collector T.N.Hariharan visited the injured at the hospital, officials said.
