A 18-year-old boy today drowned in a canal while taking bath near Adalat Garh area here, police said.
Suraj Kumar, a resident of Rangarpindi, was swept away by strong current of water while bathing in the canal with his friends, police said.
Water level had increased suddenly when the boys which led to the incident, an eye witness told police.
An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of death, they said.
