180 kg banned medicinal herb seized, two arrested

Two alleged smugglers were arrested with 180 kg banned medicinal herb in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

During a routine checking, a truck was intercepted at Lakhanpur area in Kathua district last night, they said. The truck was heading to Amritsar from Srinagar.

After a search, a consignment of 'Nag Chatri' was seized from the vehicle and two persons were arrested, police said.
