Nineteen Bangladeshi fishermen have returned home after serving a three-year jail term in India for illegally fishing in Indian waters.
Indian coast guards had arrested 21 fishermen in 2010 when their trawlers had drifted into India as a result of a storm while fishing in the Bay of Bengal, said a senior official of the Border Guard Bangladesh.
After a 14-month trial, they were handed down three-year rigorous imprisonment and each fined Rs 51,500.
