"On the basis of information furnished by North and South Delhi Municipal Corporation, the office of the Director (Local Bodies), Government of NCT of Delhi has informed that 19 farm houses have been issued notices for misuse of land," Minister of state in UD ministry Deepa Dasmunshi told Rajya Sabha in response to a question.
She said that as per the records, there are 3,697 sanctioned farm houses in Delhi.
"The farm houses duly approved and meeting stipulated conditions may hold social functions like wedding, parties, etc. As per guidelines issued by Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi," she said.
In response to another question, Dasmunshi said that the Government had sanctioned the proposal for metro connectivity from Dwarka to Najafgarh covering a length of 5.50 km at an estimated completion cost of Rs 1070 crore.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 2015, she said.
