In a suspected case of suicide, a 19-year-old girl was found hanging inside a cowshed in Budgam district of central Kashmir, police said today.
The girl, a resident of Kanidajan village of the district, was found hanging in the cowshed of her house last evening, a police spokesperson said.
He said the body of the girl was handed over to her family members after completion of legal formalities.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway, the spokesperson said adding the motive behind her taking such an extreme step was not known immediately.
