The case was listed today for final arguments of defence but District Judge J R Aryan could not hear it due to lawyers strike opposing increase in court fees and fixed the matter for August 13.

Sajjan Kumar is facing trial along with five others -- Balwan Khokkar, Kishan Khokkar, Mahender Yadav, Girdhari Lal and Captain Bhagmal on the charge of inciting mobs against the Sikh community in Delhi Cantonment area here.

Six Sikhs were allegedly killed in Delhi Cantonment area during the riots that had broken out after the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on October 31, 1984.

CBI had, in its final arguments, said there was a conspiracy of "terrifying proportion" between Kumar and the police during riots.

Recently, the Delhi High Court had allowed Kumar's plea to use statements of a riot victim given before judicial commissions to defend himself.
