Two persons who arrived from Sri Lanka today were arrested outside the airport here after Rs two lakh worth foreign liquor was found in their possession, police said.
Seventy bottles of foreign liquor kept in two bags came to light when the two persons, heading to the city, were questioned following suspicion during an intensified vehicle check outside the airport complex, a police statement said.
They were arrested and produced before a court in suburban Tambaram which remanded them to judicial custody, it added.
