The District Excise Department has arrested two men after they allegedly seized 135 cartons of smuggled liquor from their possession, officials said today.
District Excise officer Rakesh Kumar Singh said a team led by Inspector Upinder Singh raided a house at Mohiapur here.
42 cartons of smuggled liquor was seized from a car, while another 93 cartons were seized from a room in the house, he said.
Two persons, identified as Rishabh and Pushpinder, were arrested, the officer said.
