Two persons were arrested from Central Railway Station here today for allegedly looting train passengers after drugging them.
The two persons, Dipu and Deepak Singh were apprehended this morning at the station on the basis of suspicion and a country-made pistol, four cartridges, 14 mobile phones, gold jeweleries, watches, Rs 10,000 in cash were recovered from them, a GRP spokesperson said.
During questioning the accused revealed that they used to drug and loot passengers of Rajdhanis and superfast trains to Delhi, Mughalsarai and Lucknow. Deepak also said his uncle was a ticket collector with the railways.
Both the accused have been arrested and investigation was underway, the spokesperson added.
