2 arrested for looting jewellery shop in Haryana

With the arrest of two persons, the Haryana Police today claimed to have solved a case of robbery in which jewellery worth Rs 80 lakh were looted from a shop in Rohtak city in February.

The two accused have been identified as Vicky and Rijaluhak, residents of Gandhi Camp near ITI, Rohtak, police said, adding that they were arrested today morning.

During interrogation, the accused said they sold off the looted jewellery at different places, including Kolkata and Jodhpur, police said.

The robbery took place on February 7, 2014 when three armed youths wearing masks entered the jewellery shop on Sayyed Road in the early morning hours.
