2 arrested for Mathura exam paper leak

The principal-cum-centre superintendent along with assistant centre superintendent of an institute in Shazadpur Pauri village were arrested for their alleged involvement in the leakage of physics paper of polytechnic first year.

Sushil Gupta and Hradesh Kumar Solanki were arrested on a complaint filed by Rajendra Prasad, observer at the aforesaid centre, and a case has been registered against them under relevant sections of IPC.

"I found the packet of physics as well as maths open with one paper short in both the packets at the aforesaid centre after checking the bundles of examination paper," Prasad said in his complaint.

The packets were found open following a checking conducted after the cancellation of the physics paper of first year polytechnic examination by the secretary technical education yesterday. The paper was allegedly leaked outside Mathura before the commencement of the exam.
 

"Both the accused have been sent to jail," SSP Singh said.

The Uttar Pradesh government today cancelled the exam of Applied Maths conducted by Technical Education Board scheduled for May 16 after reports that the paper has been leaked.
