Two persons have been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old mute girl in central Delhi's Kamla Market area, police said today.
The incident took place on June 30 when the victim was returning home from a shop near her house in Kamla Market area, they said.
The girl was followed by the two accused and raped by them. The duo had locked the girl's mother in a room to avoid getting caught, said a police officer.
A case was registered at Kamla Market police station, he said, adding the suspects--Fahim and Arshad-- were arrested yesterday.
