2 arrested for smuggling gold biscuits at Jaipur Airport

Two passengers, who arrived from UAE to Jaipur International Airport, were today detained for allegedly smuggling 740 gm of gold biscuits worth around Rs 20 lakh, officials said.

The biscuits were seized from the passengers of Air Asia flight which landed at Sanganer airport here this morning, custom officer said.

"They smuggled the gold from Sharjah in UAE and were detained at the Jaipur airport by our team. They are being interrogated further," Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Honhar Singh said.
