Two persons were today arrested in connection with an abduction case of three persons, who were later freed by police, in Kanjhawala area here, a senior official said.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rajesh (33), a resident of Mundka area and Amrit (29), a resident of Bhiwani district (Haryana), they said.

Acting on a tip off that Rajesh and Amrit were coming towards Sultanpuri area this afternoon, police laid a trap and arrested them, said a senior police official.

"Rajesh along with Amrit and his accomplices had abducted Deepak Rana, who is a DTC driver, Manoj and Raj Kumar when they were going to their homes on November 10. Accused took them to Bahadurgarh and demanded Rs 6 lakh from them," he said.

The official said police had recently recovered illicit liquor, being supplied by Rajesh to one Puran, and arrested their accomplice, causing a loss of Rs 6 lakh to him.

"Accused had doubt that Raj Kumar had given information of illicit liquor to the police, so they abducted Raj Kumar along with two other persons," he also said.
