Two persons have been arrested by the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Rajasthan police for allegedly conspiring to kill notorious criminal Anand Pal Singh in Bikaner Jail here, an official said today.
The accused, identified as Hanuman Jakhad and Devi Singh, have been arrested yesterday, he said.
The duo, having criminal background, also allegedly smuggled a gun in the prison.
One of the accused was caught on the basis of CCTV cameras installed in the prison as he had visited a prison on the same day when the gang war took place in July, he said.
Three prisoners, including a notorious criminal, were killed when a gang war broke out in Bikaner jail in July.
SOG is further investigating the case, the official said.
