2 arrested in north Delhi with 12.5 kg hashish

Two persons were arrested at Majnu Ka Tila in north Delhi and 12.5 kg hashish worth around Rs 50 lakh was seized from them, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, Rattan Bahadur Singh (38) and Shanu Ram (36) were nabbed yesterday by a Special Cell team of Delhi Police, DCP(Special Cell) P S Kushwah said.

Police had got information about one Ramesh who was selling narcotics to drug traffickers of Delhi, Mumbai and Goa for the upcoming New Year's eve parties. Hashish was being brought from Himachal Pradesh, he said.

The duo has been arrested and 12.5 kg of A-grade Hashish, also known as 'Malana Cream' was seized from them. A car, with Himachal Pradesh registration number, which was being used to traffic drugs was also seized from them, the officer said.
