With the arrest of two persons, police today claimed to have solved a case of murder of a property dealer.

Police said that Anoop Dagar and Vikas were embroiled in a dispute with property dealer Paramjeet over a piece of land in Delhi's Jharoda Kalan village.

According to police, the plot to kill Paramjeet had been hatched when Vikas was being incarcerated in jail for attempting to murder the MLA of Najafgarh in 2012. The duo had hired a person, Rajesh, to execute the plan.

"Rajesh, along with five other accomplices, came to Paramjit's house in a car on the night of August 30 and took him away. The next day his body was found with gunshot wounds on Jharoda Kalan-Mitrau Road," said a senior officer.

On receiving information about the property dispute, police arrested Dagar and Vikas, who is already in jail. Police recovered a country-made pistol with two live cartridges from Dagar's possession.

Police said further investigation was on to nab the rest of the absconding culprits.
