Acting on a tip-off, a police party intercepted a Punjab-bound truck in Roundomail area of the district, a police officer said.
Around 43.5kg of poppy, recovered from the vehicle, was seized. Both the accused -- Surinder Singh, alias Shinda, and Navpreet Singh -- were arrested on the spot, the officer said.
