Indian Coast Guard today captured two Bangladeshi fishing boats with 57 crew on board for trespassing into Indian water territory.
During routine patrol, Coast Guard ship Sucheta Kripalani sighted the two boats carrying out illegal fishing three nautical miles within Indian waters, Coast Guard officials said.
The boats carrying 60 kg of fish were apprehended and investigations carried out.
"The boats are being taken to Sagar Island for handing them over to marine police tomorrow," the officials said.
