2 bike thieves held

Two persons were arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycles from various localities of the national capital, police said today.

According to police, Monu (23) and Jitender (24) were arrested from West Delhi's Bakkarwala village.

A country made pistol with one live cartridge and six stolen two-wheelers were recovered from their possession, police said.

"We came across a bike without a number plate at Bakkarwala village check post on Sunday night. The rider could not produce the documents of the vehicle. On inquiry, the motorcycle was found to be stolen," Additional Commissioner of Police (West) V Renganathan said.

The rider Monu and pillion rider Jitender were then arrested, he said.
