2 bodies found in Ramban road accident

Two bodies were today recovered from a vehicle that had skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban yesterday, a police officer said.

Police and other security forces had launched a rescue operation after the residents informed the police that a vehicle had skidded off the Highway, he said.

"With great difficulties, the rescue team reached the ill-fated vehicle and recovered two bodies from the damaged vehicle," the officer said.

He said one of the deceased has been identified as Deepak Koul (33), a resident of Janipur in Jammu, whereas the identity of the second victim is yet to be ascertained.
 

Meanwhile, in another accident, a truck driver lost his life near the Jawahar tunnel this afternoon, he said.
