Two brawls were reported last night at a five-star hotel in south Delhi's posh New Friends Colony, police said.

The first incident took place at around 12.45 A.M. On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday when one Himanshu Solanki, a resident of Dwarka, had gone at the club with three of his friends.

"At around 2:45 A.M., as the friends were dancing on the dance floor, a minor scuffle broke out between them and another group. Before things could be sorted out, a bouncer at the club caught Himanshu and thrashed him, claiming they had damaged club property," police said citing the complaint from Himanshu.

But Himashu's friends then caught hold of one Ashish, a resident of Subhash Nagar, whom they claimed had started the fight. He was later handed over to police. Himanshu has registered an FIR in this regard at NFC police station against the bouncer and the manager of the club.

In another incident which was reported at the same hotel at around 2 A.M., a man was allegedly beaten up by another outside the club lounge.

Ankur Bhasin, a resident of West Patel Nagar, was allegedly thrashed by one Rahul. Later, a case was registered in the matter.

"We have registered an FIR in both the cases and further inquiries are on. We are checking the CCTV footage of the hotel to piece together the sequence of events," said a senior police official.
