Two teenage brothers were killed allegedly by six persons over an old enmity in Faridpur area here, police said today.
18-year-old Narendra and Ravindra (17), students of class 12 and 10 respectively, were sleeping on the terrace of their home in Karipya village last night when they were hacked to death.
The father of the youth, Dharampal, has lodged a case against six persons of the same village, police said.
According to Superintendent of Police (rural), Brijesh Srivastava, the murder is believed to be the fallout of an old enmity over a girl living in the neighbourhood.
Security has been beefed up in the area as a precautionary measure, he said.
