Police today claimed to have solved several cases of burglary with the arrest of two burglars in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The burglars identified as Chander Parkash (19) of Chamoti Saroori village and Vijay Kumar (40) of village Hidyal of Kishtwar district used to break in the shops and houses of the people to commit the acts of burglary, a police spokesman said.
"With their arrest we have solved several cases of burglaries in the area. On their identification we arrested several other people who were involved in the sale and purchase of stolen goods," he said.
Stolen items worth lakh of rupees were also recovered from them, he said, adding, two more persons Rariq Hussain and Jaffar Hussain, who had received the stolen property were arrested too.
