2 CJs, 3 judges transferred

Chief justices of two high courts and judges from three high courts, including one from Delhi, were today transferred.

Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Navin Sinha has been transferred to the Rajasthan High Court, while Tripura High Court CJ Deepak Gupta has been named as Sinha's replacement, a Law Ministry statement said.

The Rajasthan High Court at present is being headed by Acting Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi.

Meanwhile, Justice Tinlianthang Vaiphei, a judge of the Gauhati High Court has been sent to the Tripura High Court, while Delhi High Court judge Ved Prakash Vaish has been sent to the Meghalaya High Court. Also, Justice Satish Kumar Agnihotri, a judge of the Madras High Court has been posted to the Sikkim High Court.
