2 coaches of goods train derail, hit house in Pb

Two bogies of a freight train today derailed near Sangrur railway station and hit a house, police said.

The train, which was on backtrack during shunting, derailed resulting in the collapse of the boundary walls and two rooms of a house, they said.

Gurtej Singh, the owner of the house alleged that his two cycles and a washing machine was smashed following the incident, police said adding that the railways authorities are yet to ascertain the reasons of the derailment.
