The police today arrested two hardcore criminals wanted in various cases, recovered and seized one AK-47 rifle along with 26 live cartridges from their possession in Bihar's Champaran district.
Superintendent of Police Upendra Sharma said that the criminals were identified as Dipak Paswan and his accomplice Munna Pathak.
Two magazines and a bag were also recovered from their possession, the SP said.

The criminals were arrested from a sugar mill area under the jurisdiction of Chhatauni police station in the district, he said.
Both Dipak and Munna were wanted by the police in connection with the murder of a grocery trader Indrajeet Jaiswal. The trader was killed on July 17 in the district, he said.
The police had arrested four persons in connection with the murder case and were desperately looking for Dipak Paswan and Munna Pathak, he added.
Dipak Paswan has confessed that he had killed the grocery trader with a sharp weapon, the SP said.
The police has lodged 10 criminal cases against Dipak Paswan, the SP added.
