2 crocodiles trapped by forest officials

: A few days after a man was dragged into the river by a crocodile at Velukudi near Kattumannar Kovil, two of them have been trapped in villages, forest department officials said.

One 10 foot and 750 kg crocodile was trapped at Nanjalur Salai village while it was lying on the road late last night and another was trapped at Sivayam village at around the same time when it was about crawling from a channel onto the road.

Officials said today the crocodile attack from Old Kollidam river in Kattumannarkovil area had claimed 15 lives over a period of time. Besides local farmers had lost hundreds of headsd of cattle.
 

They said the crocodiles were later let out into the vathayee reservoir today.
