2 crushed to death by speeding school bus

Two persons were crushed to death after their bike was allegedly hit by a speeding school bus on Shamli road, police said today.

The deceased have been identified as Krishnapal (26) and Ramkumar (23), Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said, adding the incident occurred yesterday.

A case has been registered against the bus driver, he said, adding that the accused is absconding.

In another incident, a 'kawad' pilgrim from Haryana, was electrocuted when he came in contact with a high tension wire at an eatery in Barla village yesterday, police said.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old shopkeeper was killed yesterday when a truck carrying Kawad pilgrims crashed into his shop.
 

Truck driver Ravinder has been arrested in this connection, police said.
