Films Division, for whom Kaul made nine documentaries including the widely hailed 'Siddheshwari and Dhrupad', is organizing a two-day programme commencing from July 6 at its theatre here.
Jahnu Barua, Udayan Vajpeyi, Piyush Shah, Ustad Bahauddin Dagar, Sharmishta Mohanti, Lalitha Krishnan and Siddharth Sinha will share their memories about Kaul, according to a statement.
His documentaries as well feature films "Uski Roti", "Mati Manas" and "Duvidha" will be screened.
In Delhi, the programme will comprise a gathering of Kaul's friends and contemporaries, Ashok Vajpeyi, Raman Chawla, Gattoo and Rita (Kaul's sisters) followed by the screening of his documentary films.
V S Kundu, Director General, Films Division has informed that a commemorative set of 3 DVDs having nine documentary films made by Kaul for Films Division and a special Kaul edition of the FD magazine, Documentary Today, will be released at the beginning of the programmes.
All the films will be screened in 35 mm, celluloid format. Entry to the screenings will be free of cost.
